This tea is a great pick-me-up for when you’re starting to feel a little bit under the weather. The warming spices will give you an immunity boost and it’s also cleansing for your liver. It’s a wonderful way to stay healthy and hydrated in the colder months. Serve it hot or at room temperature.
¼ cup turmeric root, freshly grated
2 tablespoons ginger root, freshly grated
1 large lemon, juiced
4 cups water
honey to taste
Peel and grate the turmeric and ginger root.
Place in a medium pot and add water
Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 - 20 minutes
Strain into a glass container and allow to cool for about 5 minutes
Add the lemon juice and sweeten with honey to taste
Serve hot or at room temperature
